Enlightened Canine offers dog training in Lady Lake, Florida for people who want more than a dog who knows a few commands. It’s for people who want to understand their dog, communicate clearly, and build the skills to actually enjoy life together.
Whether you’re working through leash pulling, reactivity, overexcitement, unreliable listening, or simply want to do more with your dog, training should make your world bigger, not smaller. Through private dog training, group classes, and real-world practice, we’ll build skills that hold up outside of a training session, so you can get out there and go do stuff together.
The Enlightened Canine Approach
As a dog trainer serving Lady Lake and the surrounding Lake County area, I believe good training starts with understanding the dog in front of you. I treat every dog I work with as if they’re my own, meeting them where they are and giving them the combination of support, structure, reinforcement, and accountability they need to succeed. Reliable behavior starts with a strong relationship, and that connection matters just as much as the training itself.
I’m a balanced dog trainer, but I don’t believe training should revolve around tools or ideology. Every dog is different, and training should reflect that. While obedience matters, your dog’s state of mind matters too. We’re building confidence, clear communication, and practical skills that make everyday life together easier and more enjoyable.
But dog training isn’t something you finish and leave behind. It’s a foundation for everything else you can do together. My goal is to give you the skills to understand and confidently work with your own dog, while creating a place where you can keep learning, practicing, trying new things, and connecting with other dog people.
